With the InWin D-Frame Mini, I felt no such compromise was made: the build quality is beyond exceptional with the paint, cuts, rubber stands and all included fasteners being of the highest quality possible; the included handle makes it extremely easy to carry around...
Building a PC into the D-Frame Mini is simple enough. Lay the motherboard in place, add a power supply at the rear, hook up the liquid cooler and it’s job done...
This case will stand out anywhere you take it. It has a look that is unlike any other case out there, except of course for the original D-Frame. There is so much quality in this case as well. The frame is made of thick aluminum that is hand-welded. It also has a nice paint job that will not scratch very easily...
This really is a very unique product, if you’re looking for a chassis that’s not only portable, but also a great show piece, then the D-Frame mini certainly fits the bill. The glass panels offer an uncompromising view of your components...
When you’re paying this much for a chassis, you want the best and In Win have delivered just that. There is no compromise on quality to be found. The chassis is made from high-quality thick-cut brushed aluminium that looks absolutely stunning from every angle, it’s also incredibly strong. The side panels may be made of glass, but they’re also very strong thick-cut tempered glass...
The most visually striking part of the system is the In-Win GT1 case, which explains how the PC got part of its model name. The large window shows off the insides nicely...
The In Win D Frame mini is a unique solution that defies convention and showcases some of the best contruction you'll ever see. It is large for mini-ITX, and looks like it could survive anything with its welded frame exoskeleton and colorful bumpers. If you like the design and have the money, it's a fantastic case...
Overall I think the In-Win iEar (link is external) is great. It's inexpensive at only $15 (MSRP), comes in both black and white to fit most builds, looks great and most importantly works. The only problem is that I can't currently find the iEar for sale anywhere at the time of this writing. Hopefully it'll be available soon because I see this being a great product...
The D-FRAME MINI might look weird, but it feels substantial, and you’ll be reminded of its quality every time you grasp its knurled handle, or even look at it. Despite its size and appearance, it’s really some sort of perfect Euclidian minimalist case, with just enough structure to support your components...
To say that the iEar exceeded my expectations in performance would be a slight understatement. It can clearly handle the load of most, if not all, headsets in the market while being certain that it won’t slip and dump your headphones to the floor...
When I got the In Win D-Frame Mini in I knew right away that this would be a great case for a new LAN rig. It isn’t as small and easy to carry as my Lunchbox builds but as proud as I am of those builds they just don’t get the same amount of attention as the D-Frame Mini gets at events. On top of that I had more room to really go crazy and pack a GTX 980 into the build...
