InWin is not one of those companies that need an introduction at this point. If you have seen some crazy boutique builds, mode, or even out of the box insanity, whether it be insane ideas such as infinity mirrors, or just out of this world level chassis designs, there is a chance that was InWin.
In this review, we’re going to dive deep into InWin’s latest offerings which is more on the sleek, stealthy side of the fence, the InWin 216. This particular case is geared towards low to mid tier builds and at a glance, features pretty much everything most system builders are looking for for their next modern build.
At a high level, the InWin 216 features tempered glass side paneling, slots for up to six 120mm fans, dust filtration on the bottom and front intake, and vertical GPU mounting. There’s enough room inside the case to stuff pretty much anything and everything including multiple full-sized graphics cards, custom loop liquid cooling setups, and 360/240mm radiators on the top and front.
The case is definitely targeted towards system builders who prefer a cleaner, stealthy build. The 216 features blacked out interior and exterior paneling with a single slightly tinted tempered glass side panel which adds to the overall stealthiness factor. Its frame consists of solid steel inside and out which should make the case overall quite sturdy
The InWin ALICE is a unique take on the mid-tower case that is both startlingly different and ruggedly utilitarian. The side panels of the case are actually a stretched fabric cover which is available in a variety of colors, and this is easily the most unusual aspect of this design.
InWin has with this Alice tower created something fun. A plastic tower with a cover. Not something I have seen before and my first thought was "does this even work"?, but I could just as fast throw that thought away, because it really does. It has a design so everyone can follow it. It is simple and easy to install your hardware in, and once you pull over the cover, its all hidden. The fabric is a thin mesh, so air is no problem, while it also keeps out dust. I would have no problem using this for a gaming machine, you can take with you to lanparties, also because it doesnt weigh much. But I could also use it as a mediacenter, because it is so silent and has no fans. And with a good cpu cooler and a powersupply with a fan that only perfonrm under hard load, you will get a very silent pc. Also the cover comes in different designs to match all rooms.
InWin has always had really interesting cases not only in terms of design, but functionality as well. The case we are taking a look at today is no different as it features a front panel with 144 aRGB LEDs embedded in it, which makes for a very cool display.
The InWin Sirius Loop ASL 120 is a good all-purpose fan that will match any system it is installed. The build quality is very good, starting from the impellers and ending with the frame, RGB ring and the cables. The connectors that allow for daisy chaining the fans together, also increase the good value of these fans. The performance is adequate for a fan that does not benefit from a purpose designed impeller or frame.
